About

South End Opioid Awareness is an initiative started by a small team that is passionate about reducing opioid related deaths in the South End neighborhood in Boston. Founded in 2023, we've been working hard to increase accessibility to narcan. Narcan is a medication that comes in a spray form and is administered via the nose. It reverses opioid overdoses and has very little side effects. We strongly believe that by increasing access  we can help lower death rates and help our neighbors. South End prides itself on neighbors helping neighbors and we know that this effort will provide an effort to do just that. Lives in South End will be impacted for the better and that will be through neighbors supporting each other with the tools we provide.

Some of the things we are most proud of include our new interactive virtual narcan administration trainings, and how our work has been able to bring together neighborhood organizations, and community health centers.

Together, we CAN bring hope and help our neighbors in the South End.
